THE LAST WIND OF A WILD WEST

Four grown-up men in cowboy costumes rave about in a small set imitating a saloon. They stand immobile pointing guns at each other and shouting out dirty Guy-Ritchie-style monologues, but only in the cowboy language. Their voices are dampened by strong wind, but we can make out the sound of the interpreter’s voice, who is himself in a near-trance. “TRU Theatre”, the veterans of St. Petersburg’s independent stage, the famous heroes of theatre hardcore, invented a legend about the end of the world, whose irony and pathos strengthen each other and at the end provide for an amazing transgression. And you leave the audience with ringing in its ears and a pounding heart as if after a blazing rock concert.
